Modern slavery is a crime and a violation of fundamental human rights. It takes various forms, such as slavery, servitude, forced and compulsory labour and human trafficking, all of which have in common the deprivation of a person’s liberty by another in order to exploit them for personal or commercial gain.

Our Policy on Slavery and Human Trafficking

As an inclusive employment business and employment agency that specializes in the recruitment, staffing and training of professionals from various industries such as Healthcare, Information Technology and Manufacturing, Acumen Staffing Management Ltd has a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery.

We are committed to implementing and enforcing effective systems, policies and guidelines that ensure that no activity that can be linked to or found falling under the scope of modern slavery is taking place anywhere in our own business or in any of our supply chains.

Acumen Staffing Management Ltd is also committed to ensuring there is transparency in our own business and in our approach to tackling modern slavery throughout our supply chains, consistent with our disclosure obligations under the Modern Slavery Act 2015. We are aware that Hidden Labour Exploitation and Unethical Trading behaviours exist and we are committed to acting with integrity, in the protection of the interests of our employees and our brand reputation.

We expect the same high standards from all of our contractors, suppliers and other business partners. We maintain an open, transparent and ethical way of dealing with our stakeholders and employees. As part of this process, we have prohibited the use of forced, compulsory or trafficked labour, or anyone held in slavery or servitude, whether adults or children.

All members of our staff (permanent and temporary) are interviewed in detail and have their documents verified to establish the authenticity of their identity and their right to work in the UK. These documents are inspected, photocopied and where appropriate, further ratified using relevant Government Agencies.

Acumen Staffing Management Ltd identifies itself as suppliers of manpower and talent resources as all workers and prospective employers are directly sourced by us. The suppliers to our business are third party vendors who support our business infrastructure like technology support, vendors for office consumable etc.
